|
There are several places on Hilton Head that offer you the opportunity to get out on a power boat and enjoy all of these aquatic recreational opportunities. Bear in mind that these activities operate only during the warmer months. Island Time Charters (816-261-2410) will help you customize a private water sports adventure. The company specializes in personalized adventures for the whole family. Their slogan is, “It’s your day, enjoy it your way.” Climb aboard their 25-foot canopied open bow boat and let their USCG-licensed captain take you waterskiing, wakeboarding or tubing. Trips are designed for your comfort and the personal attention you deserve and depart from the Cross Island Boat Landing (located on Helmsman Way underneath the south end of the Cross Island Parkway). Island Water Sports (843-671-7007) operates out of South Beach Marina at 232 South Sea Pines Drive in the Sea Pines Resort. They offer both waterskiing and wakeboarding as well as a variety of other activities. Their motto is, “If it floats, we rent it!” Live Oac (888-254-8362) offers waterskiing, wakeboarding, knee boarding, and tubing behind a shaded Hurricane deck boat. Their location at Hilton Head Harbor is less than 15 minutes from great ski areas in the calm waters around Pinckney Island Wildlife Refuge so you’ll maximize your activity time. The Harbour is located at 43A Jenkins Road off William Hilton Parkway (Hwy 278, Mile Marker 1). At their Shelter Cove Harbour Marina location (1 Shelter Cove Lane), Outside Hilton Head (800-686-6996) will take you waterskiing, kneeboarding, wakeboarding, or tubing as part of their award-winning Family Ski Day program. You can also enjoy some tubing and wakeboarding as part of Outside Hilton Head’s fastest growing teen program, Adventure Island. Join other teens (ages 11 to 17) for a wild five-hour outing to Page Island (a remote 30-acre chain of islands located behind Daufuskie Island). It’s a fun time in the water, with kayaking, rope climbing courses, and learning compass orienteering. For more information, see our Ad Directory under Waterskiing/Wakeboarding/Tubing.
