If you are around Broad Creek this summer, you may see an “unidentified flying object” – it’s yellow, it’s towed by a boat, and it jumps and flies over the water.  What you’re seeing is the Flyfish, the newest thrill craze to hit this country’s waters.  It is truly a unique and unbelievable experience, but not for the faint at heart.

    The ride originated about four years ago in France and is popular in Europe.  Sky Pirate Watersports (843-842-2566) is proud to have this country’s first and only Flyfish.

    The Flyfish is considered an extreme ride – how extreme depends upon the speed of the boat as well as the weight of the occupants - and of course, your own sense of courage. The “Fish” holds up to two people.  A single rider on the Flyfish will experience the most extreme ride.  The ride lasts about 20 minutes.  It is best suited for people 15 years and up, however kids as young as eight will be thrilled to give a calmer ride a try.  Experienced staff will instruct you on how to make it fly as well as all the safety precautions.  Flotation vests are provided.
