Company's Description:

Join USCG licensed captain Scott Henry for an experience you and your family will remember for years!

Low Country Nature Tours offers an unique personalized small boating experience. We operate new Hurricane deckboats which have big, comfortable wrap-around couch seating and are equipped with large canopies to provide shade. Our boats are rated for ten passengers, yet we limit each tour to six guests so that everyone can have plenty of room!

The fact that our boats are so spacious and comfortable is just one of the many reasons that people enjoy boating with us! Another reason that our trips are so special is that touring on a small boat allows you to enjoy, in comfort and privacy, an exciting up close experience with dolphins and other wildlife! Also, by limiting each tour to six passengers, our captains have the opportunity to interact personally with each and every guest!

Our mission is to offer you and your family top quality boats, knowledgeable and friendly captains, and exquisite surroundings abundant with dolphins and other interesting wildlife! Our ultimate goal is to make each trip special and memorable for our guests!

Dolphin Tour

The Two Hour Dolphin Tour is our most popular trip, and rightfully so! With over 300 dolphins calling the waters around Hilton Head Island home, it's hard to travel very far without seeing their playful antics! It is our intent to watch and enjoy the dolphins and other wildlife at a relatively close range without adversely affecting their behavior.

Join us for a two hour tour as we ride through the Low Country waterways while we watch for dolphins, birds, and a variety of other wildlife. We travel down Broad Creek and into Calibogue Sound where we see the beautiful Harbor Town Lighthouse. The nice thing about being on a small boat like ours is that you get up close encounters with the wildlife we see. As we travel through Calibogue sound, we usually see many dolphins! Since dolphins are curious by nature, they often swim right alongside of the boat, which is a great thrill for everyone! On the way back to the docks, if there is time, the captain will often throw a cast net onto the banks of the marsh and display the shrimp and small fish that are caught. Sometimes the captain might even pull up a crab pot to show off a feisty blue crab!

Beachcombing Trip

The Beachcombing Trip is a popular tour to our neighboring Daufuskie Island. This three hour tour incorporates our Two Hour Dolphin Tour, with the added bonus of getting off the boat and onto the beach at Daufuskie Island. While on the beach we search for shells, sand dollars, crabs and starfish. Occasionally, we even find a fossilized sharks' tooth!

Birdwatching Trip

On the Bird Watching trip, we travel through Broad Creek, across Calibogue sound, and into some small tidal creeks behind Daufuskie Island. There are miles of backwater environment to explore! The undeveloped islands nestled there offer a wonderful and unique chance to see such birds as eagles and herons, as well as kingfishers and woodstorks, in their natural habitat! On one of our trips, we identified over 30 different species! Don't forget your cameras on this tour!!

Fireworks Trip

The Tuesday night Fireworks Trip is so popular that it usually books well in advance because our return guests all know that this is a trip that they do not want to miss! This tour is the same as our Dolphin Tours, however, it includes an additional half hour that is spent anchored in beautiful Broad Creek while your family views a spectacular display of fireworks. This allows your group to enjoy the fireworks in comfort, with a "front row seat", and without the hassle of crowds!
